plane projector
plane projector is a continuing photo project where i build and photograph the “plane projector” - cubic light sculpture - in various environments.
in mid 2023, i built the sculpture 8 times - on the atlantic coast, in a cornfield, on a tree plantation, over a cliff. the ongoing series is an experiment in creating a traveling self-sufficient sculptural system as well as an imposition of platonic form on the horizon/natural.
the system itself is a 6 channel light control fixture built to suspend from overhead. each face of the cube is wired with 500 watts dmx-controllable dimming per channel. the System is easily built/debuilt, and transportable by bicycle to remote/difficult to reach places.
